In 2006–2009, Yury Melnikov took part in energy audits of large industrial enterprises (about 10 gas transport divisions of JSC Gazprom, EVRAZ ZapSib Metallurgical Plant, subsidaries of JSC Russian Railways, etc.). In parallel, under the supervision of A.V. Moshkarin, he was engaged in research of process flow diagrams at combined cycle gas turbine units with capacity of 325, 400, 800 MW which were planned for construction as a part of the UES of Russia RJSC investment program. He participated in the pre-design elaborations for reconstruction of Russian power plants based on combined cycle gas turbine technologies. Since 2009, Yury Melnikov is actively engaged in marketing and sales of engineering services in the electricity and fuel & energy sector.
