Justification of investments in construction of energy center and networks for consumers of the planned resort

South Korean investors in 2012 were considering a project to supply power to the planned ski resort of Mamison (North Ossetia). The business plan was developed by Korea Ratings (part of Fitch Ratings). The planned area of the resort is more than 84 thousand hectares, the slope area is up to 19.5 million m2, and the altitude difference is 2-4 km above sea level.
EF-TEC was engaged by Korea Ratings as a technical consultant. EF-TEC's services included:
- analyzing the natural gas, electricity and thermal energy markets in the area where the resort is located;
- Assessment of future heat and electricity consumption at the resort;
- elaboration of basic design solutions for the energy center;
- development of a plan for organizing and financing the construction of the energy center, as well as a plan for organizing operation and service;
- environmental impact assessment (EIA) in accordance with international and Russian standards.
