A large chemical plant consumes a large amount of steam. The owner of the plant is studying the possibility of constructing a cogeneration plant with electricity and steam production in a single cycle. The capacity of the CHPP will be up to 150 MW. EF-TEK LLC was engaged as a technical consultant to analyze the economic efficiency of the project implementation. The services consisted of the following:
- Analysis of the plant's heat and electricity loads, as well as the prospective market for sales of electricity and heat from the plant's own generation;
- Development of technical solutions for all variants of TPP construction in the range of electric capacities 50-150 MW;
- Review of manufacturers and analysis of technical and commercial offers for manufacture and supply of main generating equipment;
- Determination of technical and economic indicators of TPP operation;
- Calculation of the program of production and sale of heat and electric energy from TPPs;
- Determination of capital and operating costs;
- Development of the project implementation schedule;
- Analysis of risks associated with the project implementation;
- Evaluation of investment efficiency.
- Sensitivity analysis of the project to changes in key parameters.
