In May 2013, the prestigious American specialized publication Engineering News Record named the CCPP-400 project of Yaivinskaya GRES the Best Global Project in 2013 (Best Global Project).
The experts of the publication noted that the power unit was built in full compliance with existing local standards, meeting the original deadlines and staying within budget. The results of the project implementation were highly appreciated by the experts on all specified criteria. The unit has been successfully operating since 2011.
The project customer is E.ON Russia OJSC (formerly OGK-4). EPC contractor - Turkish company ENKA. General designer - CJSC TEPENGINEERING. The main equipment of the power unit - gas turbine, steam turbine and generator - was supplied by Siemens. The heat recovery boiler was supplied by CMI. Experts of Engineering News Record noted the special complexity of the project, which consisted in the need for constant coordination of international teams of its participants.
