Zhigulevskaya HPP is a hydroelectric power plant on the Volga River with an installed capacity of over 2,300 MW, commissioned in the 1950s. The modernization program of the plant, implemented since the 2000s, includes replacement of main transformers and autotransformers. After the modernization is completed (by 2018), the total capacity of Zhigulyovskaya HPP will increase by 147 MW to 2,488 MW. In accordance with Russian Government Resolution No. 382 of 30.04.2013, the transformer replacement project is subject to public technological and price audit. EF-TEK was selected as the auditor. The scope of services includes:

  • evaluation of technical and constructive solutions;
  • assessment of construction time and schedule;
  • assessment of the reasonableness of construction costs and compliance of the project price with the cost of construction of peer facilities;
  • marketing research of the market of contracting services for the project implementation;
  • assessment and classification of identified project risks;
  • list of identified inconsistencies, discrepancies, etc. identified in the course of the audit;
  • recommendations on optimization of adopted technical solutions and construction costs, etc.
