RAO ES of East plans to build Artemovskaya CHPP-2 to replace retiring capacities of the Primorye energy system. The capacity of the CHPP will be about 650 MW. In 2015, the design of the plant began, and EF-TEK was engaged by the design institute to develop a scheme of heat output of the new plant.

EF-TEK's services included:

  • assessment of the existing situation in the district heating system of Artem and Vladivostok;
  • determination of the forecast heat capacity demand of the projected plant;
  • development of prospective hydraulic modes of operation of heat networks from the projected plant;
  • determination of preliminary pipeline routing for connection of existing and prospective consumers;
  • analyzing the need for reconstruction of heat networks, drawing up a list of measures for reconstruction and new heat network construction;
  • estimation of capital investments in reconstruction and new construction of heat networks;
  • comparison of options for the heat capacity delivery scheme and selection of the most optimal one from the point of view of technical and economic feasibility.

At the end of 2015, the decisions of EF-TEC were agreed with RAO ES of East.
