RusHydro Group is considering a project to build an energy bridge to Japan. EF-TEK was engaged by JSC TEK Mosenergo as the main executor of this project concept.


The scope of EF-TEK's services included:

  • determination of the values of possible electricity and capacity exports, supply points (based on the analysis of power system balances);
  • determination and substantiation of the required installed capacity of newly constructed TPPs with elaboration of equipment composition;
  • development of possible variants of the scheme of power supply from the TPP to the border, an aggregated assessment of construction volumes and capital costs;
  • determination of economically justified prices for electricity on the Russian side and on the Japanese side (taking into account transmission costs);
  • evaluation of the project's economic efficiency (IRR, NPV, PBP, DPBP).
