Government-owned power plant (GES-1)

P.G. Smidovich GES-1 (State Electric Power Plant No. 1) is the oldest operating thermal power plant in Russia.

Installed electric capacity - 86 MW.

Installed heat capacity - 951 Gcal/h.

Service Content :

• Developed technical solutions for the reconstruction of HPP-1 providing for various options for transferring the steam-power equipment of the plant to operation with nominal parameters of fresh steam, or reconstruction of GES-1 with transfer to boiler house mode.
• The schematic thermal schemes, heating schemes, main electrical schemes, situation plan, layout solutions for each of the options have been developed.
• Calculations of electric power modes of GES-1 operation were performed.
• A stage-by-stage plan for the reconstruction of GES-1 has been developed, taking into account the works in cramped conditions, as well as the impossibility of shutting down GES-1 with switching the heat load to other energy sources.
• For each variant the technical and economic indicators of GES-1 for short-term and long-term perspective were calculated.
• Capital expenditures for each of the considered development options were determined.
• Issues on optimization of operating costs have been worked out.
• The calculation of the project economic efficiency and technical and economic evaluation of the options has been carried out, based on the results of which the most effective option of GES-1 reconstruction has been proposed.
