Norilsk CHPP-2 was built between 1965 and 1989 to cover the heat loads of the Talnakh industrial district and residential area of Talnakh and to supply electricity to MMC. Talnakh industrial district and residential complex of Talnakh town and to supply electricity to MMC. Electric capacity: 425 MW.

Heat capacity: 1,151 Gcal/h.

Norilsk CHPP-3 was built in 1976-1986 to cover the heat loads of the Nadezhda Metallurgical Plant and the town of Kayerkan.

Electric capacity: 440 MW.

Heat capacity: 1,049 Gcal/h.


In the course of express analysis of the repair program for power units No. 3,4 of Norilsk CHPP-2 and Norilsk CHPP-3, EF-TEK specialists performed the following work:

  • Verification of the necessity to perform works stipulated by the repair program, verification of the cost of planned works;
  • Verification of the feasibility of the planned repair works for the period up to 2035 on the basis of:

- current and forecasted operating time of equipment and fleet resource;
- of the installed service life according to the conclusions of industrial safety expert reviews: forecasts of CHPP specialists and expert opinion of EF-TEC specialists.

  • Estimation of costs for capital repairs by checking the reasonableness of the cost of works, based on reference objects or estimates was performed.
